Born in Egypt, and emigrated to Canada as a teenager after completing secondary school.
Having finished high school in Hamilton Ontario, attended McMaster University and achieved a BSc degree in Geology and MA in Economics.
Employed by the government of Ontario since 1978.
Professional interests include the economics and finance of public service pension plans. Personal interests, passions and hobbies include (in no particular order): North American Union, critical thinking and reason, secular humanism, radical transparency in public policy, computers and geekdom, economics, photography and music (jazz, country, americana).
